Allen M. Young focuses his practice in the areas of general liability, product liability, transportation litigation and commercial litigation. He has conducted over one hundred arbitrations and mediations in Nevada and Arizona. Allen's insurance litigation experience encompasses matters involving insurers' subrogation rights and declaratory relief actions. He handles complex cases that involve serious injuries as well as substantial monetary damages.
Allen is experienced in a wide range of general liability matters. He has represented clients in personal injury cases resulting from catastrophic injuries, industrial accidents, automobile accidents, trucking accidents, premises security issues, slip-and-fall accidents, and dog bites. In the area of product liability, he has been involved in matters concerning manufacture, warranty and failure-to-warn issues.
Prior to attending law school, Allen worked as an auditor for a major bank and as a financial analyst for two companies in Salt Lake City, Utah. After law school, he completed a clerkship with a United States Magistrate Judge where he gained experience in discovery matters in federal court. Allen's experience as a former staff counsel for a major insurance carrier, in-house counsel for a transportation company and his employment with a multinational firm have given him valuable experience with both clients and juries. Allen concentrates a great deal of energy into positioning his arguments to most effectively counter those of his opponents. Known for his negotiation skills, Allen builds a strong case beginning with discovery, and he uses his experience to facilitate movement toward a positive outcome.
Allen enjoys mountain biking and snowboarding as well as spending time with his wife and three children.
